Why are private nonprofit schools like Bard worth supporting? There are so many causes to support.

The College understands that there are many worthy causes to support. Bard’s role in providing exceptionally high-quality education prepares its graduates to address climate change, social justice, education disparities, human rights, and many other critical issues of our time, for some in their daily professional lives and for all as educated engaged citizens. Bard applauds the commitment of other organizations who address them. The College prepares its graduates to address climate change, social justice, education disparities, human rights, and many other critical issues of our time, for some in their daily professional lives and for all as educated engaged citizens. As a private nonprofit institution, Bard receives less public funding and relies largely upon charitable donations to support its educational mission.

Bard, like many other colleges in the United States, will be unable to solve any of these systemic issues without philanthropy and the support of donors. We can better address these issues by coming together to provide the resources necessary to address them.
