I love Bard, but I do not have the capacity now to give financially. Is there another meaningful way I can support Bard?
Yes. Yes. Giving includes time and talent. Here are some ways to support the College. - Volunteer or join one of the Board of Governors committees and get involved.
- Join one of our affinity groups and connect with fellow alumni/ae and current students at the College who share your area of interest.
- Serve on your reunion committee.
- Come to a Raptors game and cheer for Bard scholar athletes from the sidelines.
- Like and share social media posts from Bard College, Bard Alumni/ae Association, Families at Bard, or other Bard accounts.
- Encourage the highly curious, interesting high school students you know to consider applying to Bard.
- If you are involved with a potential donor, a foundation, or a philanthropist, bring Bard to their attention.
- Come back to campus to share your expertise or experience with current students.
- Send news and updates from your classmates and yourself to the Office of Alumni/ae Affairs so we stay up to date. Let us know about what’s going on in your life for our Class Notes section in the Bardian. We want to hear about you.
- Make an “in-kind” gift. An in-kind gift is the gift of tangible items, rather than currency. Bard has benefited from in-kind gifts as varied as unused landscaping inventory, art supplies, photography paper, fire pits, Steinway pianos, just to name a few. We cannot accept everything. Please call the Office of Development first at 845-758-7315 to see if the items can find a use on campus.
